Slack App Privacy Policy

This policy supplements our main Privacy Policy and describes the data collection and usage practices specific to the Minded app for Slack. With respect to data accessed through Slack, this policy controls in the event of any conflict with the main Privacy Policy.

Slack Data We Access

When you install or use Minded in Slack, we access and process the following data, only as needed to operate the integration:

  • Messages in channels where Minded is invited
  • Direct messages to Minded
  • Thread replies
  • User profile information (Slack user ID, display name, and email if provided by Slack)
  • Workspace and channel information (workspace/team ID and channel context)
  • File metadata, and files only when you ask Minded to process them
  • Slack OAuth tokens, scopes, and expiration metadata needed to maintain the integration

How We Use Slack Data

Data accessed through Slack is used exclusively to:

  • Authenticate your workspace and users
  • Respond to requests and maintain conversation context
  • Execute tasks you direct Minded to perform and generate outputs
  • Provide and improve the Services as described in our main Privacy Policy

Relevant portions of this data may be processed by our AI providers solely to generate the responses you request.

Our Slack Commitments

  • We use Slack data only to provide and operate the Service.
  • We do not sell Slack data.
  • We do not use Slack data for advertising.
  • We affirm that Slack APIs are not used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or ML models.
  • We do not train our own or any third-party foundation models on your Slack data.

Data Storage, Retention, and Security

Slack data is transmitted securely via HTTPS and stored following generally accepted industry standards, with the retention and security practices described in our main Privacy Policy.

Accessing, Transferring, and Deleting Your Data

You have the right to access, obtain a copy of, transfer (export), and request deletion of your personal data associated with the Minded app for Slack. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@minded.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you in connection with the Slack app.
  • Transfer: Request an export of your personal data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data associated with the Slack app.

You can also uninstall Minded or revoke its access at any time in Slack App Management. After revocation, we stop collecting new Slack data immediately. Uninstalling or revoking access does not by itself delete previously stored data — email privacy@minded.com to request deletion.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Slack App Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date.
