Minded for Slack
Your AI coworker, right where your team already works
Minded is an AI coworker that lives in Slack. It researches, drafts, summarizes, and runs workflows from DMs, channel @mentions, and the /minded slash command — with context from the tools your team already uses.
What Minded does in Slack
Once installed, Minded connects your Slack workspace to your Minded organization. Teammates can ask Minded to research topics, summarize threads and emails, draft replies, and automate follow-ups — without leaving Slack.
Minded integrates with Slack by:
- Responding in direct messages when you message the Minded app
- Joining conversations when @mentioned in channels where it has been invited
- Handling the
/mindedslash command from anywhere in Slack - Using channel and thread context to keep replies relevant to the discussion
How to install (Add to Slack)
The Add to Slack button starts from Minded login so the bot can be bound to your organization. Follow these steps:
- Click Add to Slack above (or go to app.minded.com/auth/login).
- Sign in or create a Minded account. Prefer Continue with Slack if you want Slack as your sign-in method.
- Select or create your Minded organization when prompted.
- Approve the Minded Slack app for your workspace when Slack asks for permission.
- Minded sends a welcome DM with quick tips once the install completes.
How to configure and use Minded
Invite Minded to channels
After install, invite Minded to any channel where you want it available (via Slack’s channel member picker or during onboarding). Minded only participates in channels it has been added to.
What triggers Minded replies
- Direct messages: Open a DM with Minded and message it like a teammate. Minded replies in that conversation.
- @mentions: In a channel where Minded is a member, @mention Minded (for example,
@Minded summarize this thread). Minded responds in the thread with that context. Follow-up replies in the same thread continue the conversation. - Slash command: Type
/mindedfollowed by your request from any channel or DM. Minded starts or continues a conversation from that command.
Minded does not reply to every message in a channel. It responds to DMs, @mentions (and related thread follow-ups), and /minded commands.
Example prompts
- “Summarize my last 10 emails”
- “Draft a follow-up to the team”
- “What were the action items from this thread?”
